Our Story

In 2014, a trip to Hong Kong led me to a coffee shop where they played gospel video music throughout the day and having captions of inspiring quotes on the TV monitors within the shop. This led me to having something similar closer to home in Cape Town hence the birth of Coffee Word.

Our aim is to build a loyal customer base where you are not just number but a valued customer known by name who enjoy excellent service and delicious, well-balanced coffee.

There are very limited Christian coffee shops and our objective is to serve flavourful coffee but also have the unique opportunity to spread the Word via gospel inspiring tracts provided with each coffee served.

Our coffee shop intend to support local charities with portion of our profit margins. Further details will be shared with the community.
